π Booking Conditions
These booking conditions set out the legally binding terms and conditions under which Direction Iceland (βweβ, βusβ, or βourβ) provides services to its clients. By booking with us, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following conditions.
π’ Company Information
Direction Iceland is a registered travel service provider in Iceland.
No binding agreement shall exist between you and Direction Iceland until a deposit or full payment is received and a confirmation invoice is issued.
π³ Payments
We accept all major credit cards via secure online payment as well as bank transfers.
βοΈ A deposit of 30% of the total trip cost is required to confirm your booking.
βοΈ The remaining balance must be paid no later than six weeks before arrival in Iceland.
β οΈ Late payments may result in cancellation and forfeiture of services without refund.
π° Pricing & Validity
Prices are based on current supplier rates and availability.
Once the booking is confirmed and payment received, the price is fixed and guaranteed in Icelandic KrΓ³na (ISK).
π Note: All pricing and availability are subject to change until payment is received and the booking is fully confirmed.
β Cancellations by Client
Cancellations must be made in writing to info@directioniceland.com. The following refund policy applies:
π€ For 1β8 People (Individual Bookings):
π More than 14 days before arrival: 70% refunded / 30% credit
π Less than 14 days before arrival: 50% refunded / 50% credit
π Less than 72 hours before arrival: No refund or credit
π₯ For 9+ People (Group Bookings):
π More than 28 days before arrival: 30% refunded / 70% credit
π Less than 28 days before arrival: 20% refunded / 80% credit
π Less than 14 days before arrival: No refund or credit
π Notes:
Cancellation of individuals within a group may result in recalculated pricing or additional cancellation fees.
Credit is valid for 12 months and applies toward a similar trip.
All cancellations must be submitted in writing to info@directioniceland.com.
πͺ Weather & Natural Conditions Cancellations
At Direction Iceland, our travel plans are crafted with flexibility in mind. Given Icelandβs ever-changing weather, adjustments or cancellations may become necessary for your safety. If an activity is canceled due to weather or natural circumstances, you will receive a full refund for the affected item.
π§ Client Responsibilities
Travelers must provide accurate and up-to-date information, including correct participant details and any relevant information about children.
βPlease inform us in advance of any medical conditions, physical limitations, or allergies that could affect your participation in activities or require special care (e.g. heart conditions, severe food allergies). This helps us ensure your safety and provide the best possible experience.
Direction Iceland cannot be held accountable for disruptions caused by inaccuracies in the data you provide or by changes you make independently.
π Privacy & Data Protection
We collect only essential personal information (such as name, contact details, and the age of any children) to fulfill your booking. When necessary, this data may be securely shared with our local partners to provide the requested services. By proceeding with our services, you agree to this usage and data handling.

All materials provided by Direction Iceland β including itineraries, content, and media β are protected under intellectual property laws. Any use, duplication, or sharing without express written permission is strictly prohibited.

Our services are open to travelers of all ages.
Some experiences may carry age limits or physical requirements β these will be clearly communicated during planning.
Unless otherwise arranged, all services are provided in English.
π Service & Documentation
Our trip planning consultations are conducted via phone or online. Travel documents will be sent digitally once your trip is confirmed. If preferred, printed copies can be provided upon your arrival in Iceland.
βοΈ Itinerary Changes & Additional Requests
We aim to accommodate your requests for changes. Please note that modifications are subject to availability and may involve extra charges. All adjustments or additions must be submitted in writing to info@directioniceland.com and paid no later than 24 hours before departure.
βοΈ Liability & Responsibility
Direction Iceland is not responsible for disruptions caused by unforeseen events such as severe weather, strikes, or natural disasters. Your safety remains our top priority, and in such cases, alternative arrangements will be made when possible.
We do not accept liability for lost or damaged luggage or belongings. If a traveler causes damage to a vehicle or necessitates special cleaning, they will be required to cover the resulting costs.
π Passport & Visa Requirements
It is the responsibility of each traveler to ensure that all passports and necessary documentation are valid for at least three months beyond their intended departure from Iceland.
π Travel Documentation
Once your booking is confirmed, we will provide you with your itinerary and travel documents via email. Physical copies can be given upon arrival, should you require them.
π§³ Travel Agents & Commission
Private tours booked through registered travel agents may be commissionable β unless marked as special offers or promotional packages. To discuss partnership options, we encourage agents to contact us directly for details.
π Vehicle & Travel Service Terms
Direction Iceland retains the right to select the travel route unless otherwise agreed beforehand.
Smoking is strictly forbidden in all company vehicles. Violations are subject to fines up to ISK 250,000.
A full travel day includes up to 10 hours of driving/guiding. Overtime will be charged at ISK 16,500/hour.
Extra cleaning fees may apply: ISK 30,000 for standard vehicles, ISK 40,000 for larger vehicles.
Fines for vehicle damage (interior or exterior) may amount to ISK 250,000, depending on severity.

Direction Iceland operates under Icelandic law. Any claims or disputes must be reported within 7 days of the issue arising.
